Resources for Your Virtual Escape Room – Mummy’s Curse

Below you will find everything you need to help you get started with your activity, including step-by-step instructions, the activity overview, and resources.

Important Details:

Activity Access Details: Your email contains both the activity link and access code.

Meeting Location: In-person or Virtual Meeting Platform (of your choice).

About Your Activity:

Participants will break out into teams and use Outback’s Jewel Heist – Mummy’s Curse web app. Working together, teams are challenged to uncover the secrets of Ancient Egypt to lift the mummy’s curse and return before the portal closes. Teams will have access to a virtual room where they will search for items of interest, uncover clues and solve riddles all with the goal of retrieving the talisman in the locked box before the time is up.

The virtual room is interactive; you can click on items and add to your inventory or zoom in on specific areas in the room. Teams will have 90 minutes to search the room, solve the clues and open the locked box that contains the talisman. If successful, a final message will appear containing information they need to prove they were successful. All teams who find the talisman win, but ultimately the winner is whoever “escapes” first.

Technical intuition is key with teams participating virtually; sharing screens and computer sound, requesting mouse control and multitasking within a virtual meeting space all play a part in the activity. These tips can be found on the Team Resource Page.

As the organizer your role will be to prepare teams for the activity, monitor their progress, and answer questions.
